whitehouse gig
beyond the implode r.i.p. has a highly amusing and pretty fair report of the Mark Stewart/Whitehouse/Aphex Twin gig last week (k-punk's is here - and includes the bit about me getting into a fight with some tool. I'm not normally prone to violence at gigs, erm, honest). Without speaking on behalf of k-p (who I really think is the last person in the world to say "You complete and utter IMBECILE" to anyone...in the meat world anyway) you should have said hello, would have been cool!
I thought the Whitehouse set (all thirty seconds of it) was the best thing all night - surly, unpleasant and violent, which summed up the atmosphere perfectly. Is hard not to hate the ATP crowd - all that pilled-up, dressed-down, misplaced sense of self-entitlement and overt aggression. But I was in a severely bad mood. So, yeah, you really should have come and introduced yourself!
Anyway, I'll update your link as I'm here...
UPDATE: Uncarved review of same gig, just spotted.
