today's class
The best thing about teaching is - of course - the students.
A guy in my Berkeley class drew this for today's seminar, in which we discussed such things as what if Berkeley's God was insane and whether it would be okay to steal someone's car if we could reasonably claim that it didn't exist absolutely and therefore didn't matter whether we took it or not.
Whilst the constant pressure to write more and more lectures and give more and more seminars with little or no preparation time is sometimes nightmare-inducing, I can't think of anything I'd rather be doing. I just have no idea when I'm going to write anything else. But at least my students seem to be enjoying themselves!
