infinite US trip

At the end of this somewhat gruelling 10-week teaching block I'm flying to the US for a couple of conferences. Luckily there is a bit of gap between the two, so I'll be free to scamper up hills in SF and buy, er, vintage dresses in NY, or whatever it is one does there. I am quite excited, as I've never been to the West Coast before. In my mind LA is filled with cars, urban sprawl, and plastic surgeons, whilst SF is filled with organic cars, bookshops and hippies. Everything is very big and everywhere is very far from everywhere else. I'll be taking my trusty camera (not yet partly composed of cardboard), so expect pictures of pigs wherever they may turn up, as well as the odd building and sign, horrah.

My schedule, should anyone fancy meeting me (though as Roger Ltd Inc pointed out, you have to bring a marzipan pig) is the following. Obviously I have no idea where anyone lives so I can't email you to arrange it in the first place:

16th-20th March - LA
21-27th March - SF
27th-31st March - Santa Cruz
31st March - Berkeley
1st-2nd April - Santa Cruz
3rd-9th April - NY
9th April - Pratt
10-12th April - Cornell (for this conference, at which I will also be speaking)

I will be accompanied at all times by a monkey, so you can meet him too. Incidentally, don't bother burgling my flat in London as Infinite Ma and Pa will be living there for the duration. Heh heh...besides, it's only got a broken laptop and several hundred really bad mid-90s American indie CDs. You don't want those. You really don't.
