initial capture

This was London just before leaving. Pretty, isn't it?

This is not London.

This is a church in Pasadena. There are even more churches than dentists. God and the perfect smile are vying for hegemony. My money's on the teeth, in the long run.

But there are even more car parks than either. They're really quite beautiful, especially if you think of Holly Hunter and James Spader...

This is the Griffith Observatory. It's in some famous flick or other, like every other square inch of LA.

Again. This is like a postcard.

It's Galileo! Horrah for he and boo to the Catholic Church.

It was St Patrick's Day recently. There appear to be more Irish folk in LA than in the whole of, erm, Ireland. This little fellow was selling car bombs. This photo is dedicated to Lenin of Tomb fame.

That'll be you then, Ms 'half a million dead Iraqi children was worth it' Albright. Or perhaps she really does only count fully grown women, as opposed to potential women. Either way, kinda puts you off your coffee...
