the dogme meme (or dogmeme)
I have no idea if this will work, but in the spirit of Dogme 95, here is a subtractive blog meme that I have just invented, although it was ICR's idea really.
The idea is to identify the common rhetorical and stylistic tropes of your favourite bloggers and ask them to write a post in which they get taken away, thus revealing the pure truth of their writing. Possibly. All posts must be at least 200 words.
1. Owen must write a post without reference to proper names, places, buildings or cultural objects of any kind.
2. Dominic must write a post without recourse to parentheses, italics, quote marks or references to relationships (or topology).
3. Ben must write a post without dialectic or footnotes.
4. Carl must write a post without reference to sex, films, booze or music.
5. Tim must write a post which contains no criticism of any kind.
The meme must then be forwarded to a further five bloggers.
