palimpsest city
Further to the historical/literary app discussion, Steve forwarded me these amazing montages of the Leningrad Blockade (there are more on the link, click through). This would be the sort of thing my imaginary app would be able to do for every city everywhere - although it would turn a pleasant holiday into a seething bloodbath of ghosts and inhumanity, but perhaps that's for the best. I disagree with Evan that we are tired of hauntology.
