central london, the bt tower and the dying of the light

The light in London is currently perfect: the soft-end of summer with the sadness of the leaves first to fall. These are from central London on Thursday. The light wasn't really captured in any of these sometimes seamy images. But it was there.

A disembodied body part sticks to the side of a phone box in a side street.

The girlfriend experience: now available from a phone box near you now.

Whoever is leaving all the rubbish is making the Considerate Builders pledge look like a bit of a fib.

There's a Royal Mail bag in there. I wondered where all the post had gone.

A coffin for a lightbulb.

Cut down the CCTV pole!

I love the BT Tower. My ideal birthday present would be a trip to the revolving restaurant at the top. The restaurant closed to the public several years ago.

As seen in the reflection of the Saatchi & Saatchi window, currently filled with silly origami birds.
