Seven Points
Or "A Weak Conceit To Make Me Write Something"
Point 1
Even if everything changes, most things stay the same.
Point 2
Sometimes people will surprise you. But don't count on it.
Point 3
The more you scratch it, the more it will itch.
Point 4
The more you put in, the more you get out. There's no telling exactly what you will get though.
Point 5
The more you take, the more you need.
Point 6
It's scarier if you can't take it back.
Point 7
Don't try to understand. The explanation is probably a lot more mundane than the mystery.
Patience is a virtue. Learn to trust yourself. Don't snack all day, eat proper meals. Smoking kills. Don't rock your chair. If you keep staring at that screen all day, your eyes will go square.
Brunch? Two cigarettes, three coffees, jam and ham salad on toast.

Huntaz Update
It's a minute and a half of rattling mayhem.
Have a listen:

Made a vocal-less versions and now I'm waiting on Non to do "...do something to it..."

Spam fun
No clue how this spam-filter avoision tactic is supposed to work: I just got an email from "Mike Fenton" with "Investors: OSSI, the Next Ditech, LendingTree, or Countrywide? Tue, 23 Mar 2004 09:48:56 -0500" in the subject line. Haven't really read it, but it seems to purport to be 'investment advice'.
At the end of the email, first you have the standard "No more ads" email link (or, as it's known to those in the know, "Yes, this IS an active email address! Spam me 'til I puke!").
Then, there is an enigmatic list of keywords, specifically designed, I suppose, to make the email fit McCafee (for example...) non-spam-email criteria. It goes like this:
chairwomen
byproduct hump inhospitable oregano michele penumbra cassius paulsen finery douglas bonneville spinal neurophysiology apperception scrutable deforest upside worst byers cigarette sleep loose paranormal quotation cityscape izvestia midas arequipa donaldson joel opera towhead azimuth late blare departure vise
doorbell kresge booth ape emory ordinal kernighan clotho convention kelsey wah bootleg zirconium tweeze zeta malden welfare buyer baritone cater kalmia latitude magruder daphne
First person to write an email containing ALL of those words, (let's say) in the order presented, wins a prize...

Yeah...
... I haven't been writing enough recently. You know how it comes and goes in phases. Hopefully you can appreciate the work I've been doing on Cinestatic in general. I'm pretty chuffed with my features stuff, and there are a lot of improvements that you can't see - like compiling functions into include files and creating backend database management applications and other geekery like that. Lots of it was in the name of the Whorecull refinements. I've also been working on my 3ds modelling and animation faculties and trying out some more advanced Actionscript programming. Yeah - I had a week and a half off work (technically that's four days!) and done some work.
I sometimes think about writing down stuff. Ideas tend to come when the capacity to transcribe them is limited, unfortunately...
I will leave you with this thought for the day:
"Is the universe composed of points or lines? Or splines?"
Hints: Are the smallest sub-atomic particles points? Or could they be intersections with space-time of one or more long bendy lines that go forward and backwards through all time? Change is universal, and that's more of a line-system than a points-system. Forces: they're kinda bendy.
Sod that. I reckon it's all curves. Bendy knotted lines abound. We're not in a digital bitmap, it's all vectory and scaleable.
Away I go.

Huntaz
Hey, so I was listening to StaticBeats yesterday and heard this cool hip-hop/electronica crossover by Shadow Huntaz - saw they were on Rephlex, decided to look them up. Turns out they've got this internet collaboration thing going on - transatlantic stylee. So I got in touch and had a Messenger conversation with Non in Hollywood Californ-yer and now I gots an acapella vocal to remix!
So that's what I'm doing today.

Speakers
Working on a nice nasty dirty big track. The subsonic glitches are not audible, but I get the occasional gusts of wind that I feel on my face and arms are enough to let me know that something's not right...

I am making a funny Flash toy...
It's workingprogress but worth a look nevertheless. Go via my homepage.
I'm afraid I've been neglecting Blogger the last couple of weeks, in favour of my own 'Feature Management' tool. It's the thing that lets the Cinestatic homepage dynamically change. And gives handy keyword search things. It's very involved.

Phew!
Alright - check out my homepage now! Cinestatic Research is finally getting to the rhizomatic state that I've envisioned for all these years... I'm hoping to get the site updated with little features every week or two - it should be cool. Expect retrospectively added 'features'.
GO THERE NOW!
I really gots to sort out that pastel-shaded look though... The cinestatic 'logo' is intended to represent a focussed web of eclectic content. How to do cool-looking low-contrast backgrounds?!

A knife disguised as a bullet? I've never heard of anything so nutty!

Cafépress you!
Hey, I just signed up for a cafépress thingy. Here - you can buy "Cinestatic Stuff" from the "Cinestatic Research Stuff" page. A Smunk mug. All proceeds to Ann (a dollar per sale).
Twelve bucks for a mug?! Plus 4 bucks more for postage to the uk?! Not a chance!
