New Blog

Just in case you're still checking here, I should let you know that Smunk has moved. I've moved to Smunk Reality.

That's where the newest mp3s have been posted recently. Goseegosee.

We have moved servers again...

So everything's going crazy..
Doesn't help that I'm using an unfamiliar ftp app, and support is not very forthcoming from the new hosting company when I need help...

Wow - has it been this long?

No blogs for months.

Well, with the closing of the infinite thought comments boxes, maybe I should open up the possibility of some down this way.

I just posted up a flyer for my next gig. It should be a corker, with all the Forrest boys strutting our various styles of stuff.

Well, if I can find a moment's respite from my job, I might be able to come up with something decent anyway.

I'm exhausted today - I had a long week last week - big deadlines at work, working late, then I got flu (for the second time in a fortnight) on Friday which was compounded with food poisoning on Saturday. The 12 hour vomit-headache cycle I have experienced only once before and hoped never to experience again. I dreamed violent dreams last night and woke up repeatedly with a throat like a flaming cricket ball. I dreamed that I was sitting in a theatre with everyone I know, building up to watch something, and one of my work colleages was taunting Sadaam Hussein (who was sitting behind us) - it felt dangerous. Sadaam brought in his 'wife', who was a scantily clad girl tied to cross (a big X, rather than a jesus-cross) - gagged and not looking too comfy. I had a hard time escaping down the Walt Disney concept stairs - they were extremely steep, with windows for actors to poke their heads through to say their parts - usually just when you wanted to jump down - I couldn't go too quickly for fear of squashing pixies.

Dreams. Feh.

I might have to break the tradition of a lifetime this year and not go home for Easter. I just want to collapse in my flat and sleep. A four day weekend seems scarsely adequate recovery time for the intensity of work and unfortunateness of illness I've had of late.

Film Crews Everywhere

Looks like my flat might be getting two film crews coming through it in the space of a couple of weeks. It's got the 'urban' appeal, I suppose.

There's gonna be an elderly murder victim lying on my floor for The Bill.

And possibly now, for a streaming-video project I'm doing Flash app-development on at work for the NHS.

So you can see my abode on the small (and even smaller) screen sometime soon!

What book...

They're all doing this over at infinite thought. Here's mine:

You're One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest!

by Ken Kesey

You're crazy. This has led people to attempt to confine you to a safe
place so that you don't pose a danger to yourself or others. You feel like you pose a
great danger to the man (or maybe the woman) or whatever else is keeping you down. But
most of the time, you just end up being observed. Were you crazy before you were
confined?

The Book Quiz
.

Bleedin' horoscopes.

Sorry I haven't been writing recently (not even emails...) - I'm not a very good multi-tasker when I'm on a programming mission. Currently doing an Access database for Vodafone.

Oh, and I've taken a permanent role at Oyster.
